Over 200 kids, adults and monsters stalked West Broadway on the night before Hallowe’en in Art City’s Candy Chase.
“At Art City we worked for three weeks preparing the monsters and other props,” explained Art City director Eddie Ayoub.

Participants followed a map searching for caches of candy, avoiding monsters, and on the lookout for the giant “Candy Monster” who carried enough candy for all if he could be found and caught.
West Broadwy’s Bear Clan watched the walkers as they crossed main intersections.

In the end, the chase was on, the candy monster was captured and gave up his treats, and the night ended with a dance at Broadway Neighbourhood Centre where the monsters joined in and turned out to be friendlier than expected.
